Smartwatch: Samsung Gear S (SM-R750) Review

Time passes unnoticeable! I have been using the Samsung Gear S which is my first smartwatch for nearly a year now. I am using it everyday so far I have not encountered any problem with this smartwatch.

As for the battery it usually able to last for at least one and a half days before I recharge it. My usage is mainly using the Gear S while on the go to receive notifications for my Gmail, WhatsApp messages, SMS messages, alarm clock, weather updates and alert me as reminder for my daily schedules, etc. I seldom use the Gear S 3G feature to make phone calls even though I have put in a SIM card. However, if I am driving a car I will use the Gear S to receive phone calls and it is indeed very convenient to talk while driving a car.  May be because I seldom use the Gear S call features my battery sometimes able to last almost 2 days.

When talk about battery the Gear S has one advantage over other smartwatch is its Charging Cradle which has a built-in 350mAh battery which mean you may double your usage in term of duration for another day. Because the built in battery inside the Gear S is 300mAh thus you have a total of 650mAh.

So far in my almost one year experience wearing the Samsung Gear S smartwatch which runs on the Tizen based operating system is very stable.  However, there is drawback of using the Tizen based operating system as compared to Android Wear is limited Apps to download or for purchase and the choice for watch faces are limited which I don't like it. The Android Wear has more Apps and more watch faces to choice.

The Gear S is 2.0" Curved Super AMOLED (360 x 480), with this display and size I find it very easy to input texts when replying messages from Gmail, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.

Smartwatch: Samsung Gear S Screen Protector from Korea: Healing Shield Review

Before I started to wear my Samsung Gear S smartwatch, I have purchased from one of the eBay Korea seller the Samsung Gear S Screen Protector from Korea: Healing Shield, the package comes with 3 pieces of clear type screen protector.

Upon receiving it, I followed closely all the attached installation instructions and installed one of the above screen protector on my Samsung Gear S smartwatch.  Since then I am using it every day for almost a year now still not yet require to change another new screen protector.

The Healing Shield screen protector which I purchased is clear type which is perfectly curved fit onto the screen so most of the time you will not notice it has been installed/attached with a screen protector. The screen protector has scratch resistant, anti fingerprint, etc.

(Nissin Tom Yam Mee Goreng Flavour)

Personal Finance: Free IBFT service from Oct till 31 Dec 2015

Good news! With effect from 1st October until 31st December, 2015 for those using Internet and Mobile Phone to make online payments, the Malaysian Electronic Payment System Sdn Bhd (MEPS) and it's member participating banks have waived the transfer fee for Inter-Bank Fund Transfer (IBFT). (Prior to that certain banks charged RM2.50 per transaction for IBFT service) The move is to encourage more people to pay online and less use cheques.

However, if you use IBFT service via the Automated Teller Machines (ATM) you still require to pay the transfer fee which at present is RM0.50.

In case you don't know what is IBFT? The IBFT allows instant or immediate fund transfer between MEPS' member banks.

Therefore, wait no more! start to use the IBFT service today ! This is also another way of helping you to save unnecessary  bank charges.

Hope you find the above info useful and thank you for reading my blog. :)
